One of the hardest parts of starting ant keeping is not knowing whether what you're seeing is normal.
A quiet queen. A colony that suddenly stops foraging. Workers hiding brood. Slow growth. Long periods where nothing appears to be happening.
Most beginners experience these moments.
Most of Antastic Tom exists because I struggled with the same beginner uncertainty myself.
If you're unsure about something, need a second opinion, or simply want reassurance before making a change, feel free to ask. Ant keeping becomes far less stressful once you learn what behaviour is actually normal.
